St. Vladimir Holiday Weekend
A group of young people from St. Sergius Cathedral in Parma, OH, travelled to St. Vladimir Memorial Church in Jackson, NJ. The group was led by the Cathedral Choir Director, Reader Alexander Petrovsky. Alexander was brought up in this Church, and his father, Archpriest Philip Petrovsky, has been a priest at St. Vladimir's for 30 years. The services were officiated by Metropolitan Laurus, joined by Bishop Gabriel of Manhattan on Sunday. Reader Alexander conducted the Choir for the festive weekend. St. Vladimir Memorial Church was built as a memorial to the Millenium of the Baptism of Rus. The cornerstone was laid in 1939, and the Church hosted the main Millenium celebrations of the Church Abroad in 1988. For more information, visit St. Vladimir Church's website.(30 images)
